General Statute Law and Legal Definition
General statute is a statute pertaining to an entire community or all persons generally. It is a statute having a uniform operation, that is a statute operating equally or alike upon all persons, entities, or subjects within the relations, conditions, and circumstances prescribed by the law, or affected by the conditions to be remedied.
General statute is also termed as public statute.
