Global Environment Facility Law and Legal Definition
The Global Environment Facility (GEF) is a global partnership among international institutions, non governmental organizations (NGOs), and the private sector. They address the global environmental issues while supporting national sustainable development initiatives. GEF provides grants for projects related to six focal areas such as biodiversity, land degradation, persistent organic pollutants climate change, ozone layer, and international waters.
