Go Bail Law and Legal Definition
Go Bail is a slang term for remitting or depositing money as security for release of the accused defendant out of jail after an arrest or pending trial or appeal. The court sets the amount of bail based on a rate schedule. If the defendant disappears and fails to appear in court (skips bail), the bond money will be forfeited unless the defendant is found and returned.
