Goose case is a legal slang used to refer to a reported case that has facts that is virtually identical to the facts of the case in hand, so that the disposition of the reported case should determine the outcome of the current case. It is also known as Whitehorse case, horse case, or gray mule case.
The term is rarely in use now. Goose case is common in the Southern U.S.
