Grade point average (GPA) is a measure of a student's academic achievement at a college or university. It is calculated by dividing the total number of grade points received by the total number of times attempted. Grades are the standardized measurements of varying levels of comprehension within a subject area. GPA is the numerical average of all graded coursework attempted within undergraduate, or graduate level. The student's GPA appears on the academic transcript and on the official academic verification letter.
