Grants in Aid Law and Legal Definition
Grants in aid refer to allocation of money by one government unit to another government unit to help the borrowing unit carry out a policy or program. It may be federal support for a state or locally administered program, or state support for a local program. It may also be giving of funds to an institution or a person in order to subsidize a project or program.
