Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) Law and Legal Definition
Health care financing administration (HCFA) is the federal agency that administers the medicare, medicaid, and child health insurance programs. It is a division of the federal Department of Health and Human Services. HCFA provides health insurance and regulates all laboratory testing (except research) in the U.S. through the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) program.
