Health Professions School Law and Legal Definition
According to 42 CFR 57.202 [Title 42. Public Health; Chapter I Public Health Service, Department Of Health And Human Services; Subchapter D. Grants; Part 57 Grants For Construction Of Teaching Facilities, Educational Improvements, Scholarships And Student Loans; Subpart C. Health Professions Student Loans], “health professions school or school” when used in the context of grants for construction of teaching facilities, educational improvements, scholarships and student loans means a public or private nonprofit school of medicine, school of dentistry, school of osteopathic medicine, school of pharmacy, school of podiatric medicine, school of optometry, or school of veterinary medicine as defined in section 799(1)(A) of the Public Health Service Act.
