According to 5 CFR 2421.8 (Title 5, Administrative Personnel;hapter xiv, Federal Labor Relations Authority, General Counsel Of The Federal Labor Relations Authority And Federal Service Impasses Panel;Subchapter C, Federal Labor Relations Authority And General Counsel Of The Federal Labor Relations Authority) the term “Hearing Officer” means “the individual designated to conduct a hearing involving a question concerning the appropriateness of a unit or such other matters as may be assigned.”
