Herd Law and Legal Definition
Generally the term herd means a number of animals kept, feeding, or traveling together; drove; flock: a herd of cattle; a herd of sheep; a herd of zebras.
Pursuant to 16 USCS § 1332 (d), [Title 16. Conservation; Chapter 30. Wild Horses and Burros: Protection, Management, and Control] the term herd means “one or more stallions and his mares.”
