High-Risk Children Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 20 USCS § 1087ii (b), [Title 20. Education; Chapter 28. Higher Education Resources And Student Assistance; Student Assistance; Federal Perkins Loans] the term high-risk children means “individuals under the age of 21 who are low-income or at risk of abuse or neglect, have been abused or neglected, have serious emotional, mental, or behavioral disturbances, reside in placements outside their homes, or are involved in the juvenile justice system.”
