Hiring Discrimination Law and Legal Definition
Hiring discrimination is the discrimination shown by the employers by hiring a white candidate over a minority or a black candidate, or a male candidate over a female candidate, to fill a position. Hiring discrimination is still prevalent and it is the most visible aspect of economic discrimination. Strict laws against discrimination have made hiring discrimination much more difficult for employers to engage in. Companies are very careful in who they hire and do not hire. Studies on discrimination reveals that it is easy for a white male to get a job compared to an equally qualified black male or a woman.
