Holistic Law and Legal Definition
Holitic generally means relating to or concerned with wholes or with complete structures rather than dealing with a part or component of a larger system. It is a term often used in connection with medicine and the environment.
For example, holistic medicine focuses on the need to look at the whole person, including physical, nutritional, environmental, emotional, social, spiritual and lifestyle values. It encompasses all methods of diagnosis and treatment including drugs and surgery if no safe alternative exists. Holistic medicine focuses on education and responsibility for personal efforts to achieve balance and well being and emphasizes the connection of mind, body, and spirit.
