Hornbook Law Law and Legal Definition
Hornbook Law is a set of legal rules that are so well settled that they require little or no legal discourse. Such rules establish that a principle, provision, references, inference, observation etc may not require further explanation or clarification when the very nature of them shows that they are basic and elementary in nature. It is also called blackletter law.
