House confinement clause is a clause of a health and accident policy that shows the extent of disability. House confinement clause calls for substantial confinement by reason of illness or accident and not confinement so close as to exclude a period of disability during which the insured went out for exercise or visits to his physician. Such a clause is satisfied by confinement in a hospital or sanitarium, as well as at home.
