IAEA Safeguards Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 22 USCS § 6305 (3) [Title 22. Foreign Relations and Intercourse; Chapter 72. Nuclear Proliferation Prevention; Sanctions for Nuclear Proliferation], the term IAEA safeguards means “the safeguards set forth in an agreement between a country and the International Atomic Energy Agency, as authorized by Article III(A)(5) of the Statute of the International Atomic Energy Agency.”
