IH-3 Visa Law and Legal Definition
IH-3 Visa is an immigrant visa issued for children with full and final adoptions from a Hague Convention country. In such cases, the adopted child is personally seen by the adoptive parents prior to the completion of the adoption in the foreign country.
A child entering to the U.S. with an IH-3 visa will automatically acquire U.S. citizenship upon entry into the United States. In these cases, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service automatically sends Certificates of Citizenship without the need for more forms or fees.
