Immediate Delivery [Shipping] Law and Legal Definition
Immediate delivery refers to the procedure under which an importer can take delivery of a shipment as soon as it is unloaded and inspected. It is allowed in special circumstance, under a special permit for immediate delivery with entry summary and duty to be submitted subsequently. It is effected through posting of a surety bond by the importer, or the customs retain a sample for appraisal of duties which are paid later.
