Immobilia Situm Sequuntur Law and Legal Definition
Immobila situm sequuntur is Latin term meaning immovable things follow their site. Immobila situm sequuntur is also a legal principle stating immovables are governed by the law of the place where they are fixed. This principle has been distinctly and often recognized in Kentucky. In Townes v. Durbin, 60 Ky. 352, 355 (Ky. 1860), it was held that movable things follow the person, immovable things follow their locality.
