Indefinite imprisonment refers to the imposition of a sentence with no specified amount of time. The imprisonment term will be prescribed by a sentence for crime, the term of which is fixed or rendered calculable by neither the sentence nor statute. Indefinite imprisonment is also called indeterminate imprisonment.
