Indentification Parade Law and Legal Definition
Indentification parade is a procedure adopted by the police for identifying the criminal. The person who is suspected by the police is placed with a group of similarly looking people and the eye witness to the crime is asked to identify the person s/he saw at the crime scene. The police should similar-looking people to appear with the suspect. If the suspect alone matches the physical description of the perpetrator, evidence of the identification can be attacked at trial.
