Independent Contractors Engineers Law and Legal Definition
Civil engineers are people who are trained in or follows as a profession a branch of engineering. an engineer whose training or occupation is in the design and construction especially of public works, such as roads or harbors. Such engineers are often employed on an independent contractor basis, so that the hiring party is not liable for the acts or omissions of the engineer. Engineers must meet certain standards or their profession and comply with applicable building codes.
