Indian Probate Judge Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 25 CFR 15.2 [Title 25 -- Indians, Chapter I -- Bureau of Indian Affairs, Department of the Interior], Indian Probate Judge (IPJ) means “an attorney with OHA, other than an ALJ, to whom the Secretary has delegated the authority to hear and decide Indian probate cases.”
