Indian Tribal Government Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 25 USCS § 3902 (5) [Title 25. Indians; Chapter 41. Indian Lands Open Dump Cleanup], the term Indian tribal government means “the governing body of any Indian tribe, band, nation, pueblo, or other organized group or community which is recognized as eligible for the special programs and services provided by the United States to Indians because of their status as Indians.”
