Industry Wage Survey Law and Legal Definition
Industry wage surveys are conducted and collected by a variety of sources to provide wage information for a wide variety of industries. The Federal Wage Survey is conducted to collect information on wage and fringe benefit rates paid on construction projects to determine the prevailing rate.
The survey does nOt ask for worker names and addresses. Contractors can fill out WD-10 forms and they are being asked by the Department of Labor to do so on a voluntary basis. But third parties can also fill the forms out if they use accurate information. Contact information for the contractor and the project concerned must be provided for verification and audit purposes.
