Inexcusable Neglect Law and Legal Definition
Any neglect that implies more than unintentional inadvertence can be referred to as an inexcusable neglect. It simply means an unjustifiable neglect. A finding of an inexcusable neglect in, for example, failing to file an answer to a complaint, will prevent the setting aside of a default judgment. A deliberate bypass of a state court procedure can be classified as an inexcusable neglect.
