Infarction Law and Legal Definition
Infarction refers to a medical condition where tissues die due to sudden reduction or stoppage of blood flow.
Infarction is most often seen with the word myocardial, indicating a heart attack. A myocardial infarction is by definition death or necrosis of heart muscle tissue arising from circulatory impairment. [Goldklang v. Metropolitan Life Ins. Co., 130 N.J. Super. 307, 320-321 (App. Div. 1974)]
