In the context of Patent law, information-disclosure statement refers to a document that is submitted in the patent application process. The inventor reveals in such a document, all relevant prior art during the patentability search. The document should state all known patents, publications, and other references of prior art. An “Information Disclosure Citation” form is provided by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for this purpose.
