Information Security Law and Legal Definition
According to 38 USCS § 5727(11) [Title 38. Veterans' Benefits; Part IV. General Administrative Provisions; Chapter 57. Records and Investigations; Subchapter III. Information Security] the term "information security" means protecting information and information systems from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction in order to provide integrity, confidentiality, and availability.
