Inscribere Law and Legal Definition
Inscribere is a Latin term which means to subscribe to an accusation. The term is used in civil law. The purpose of subscribing an accusation is to bind one self by an undertaking in case of failure to establish the guilt of the accused. The complainant undertakes to suffer the same punishment which the accused would have suffered provided, s/he was punished.
