Insider Information Law and Legal Definition
Insider information refers to information about a company’s financial or market situation. It is not obtained from public disclosure. It is obtained from a source within the company or a source that owes the company a duty to keep the information confidential. It is also known as insider information or insider trading.[Gargiulo v.
