Institute of Police Technology and Management Law and Legal Definition
The Institute of Police Technology and Management (IPTM) is a training institute that was established in 1980 to provide management, traffic, and specialized training to municipal, county, state, and federal law enforcement officers. It is the largest police training center in the U.S. The IPTM provides tuition free training in the areas related to traffic crash and traffic enforcement.
The IPTM also provides specialized training to law enforcement officials around the globe. Such training programs are based on contractual arrangements with government agencies of those countries.
