Institution of Professional Education Law and Legal Definition
According to 15 CFR 8a.105 [Title 15 Commerce and Foreign Trade; Subtitle A Office of the Secretary of Commerce; Part 8a Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Sex in Education Programs or Activities Receiving Federal Financial Assistance], institution of professional education means "an institution (except any institution of undergraduate higher education) that offers a program of academic study that leads to a first professional degree in a field for which there is a national specialized accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education."
