According to 32 CFR 50.3 (Title 32 - National Defense; Subtitle A - Department Of Defense; Chapter I - Office Of The Secretary Of Defense; Subchapter D - Personnel, Military And Civilian; Part 50 - Personal Commercial Solicitation On DOD Installations; General Provisions), Insurance Product means “a policy, annuity, or certificate of insurance issued by an insurer or evidence of insurance coverage issued by a self-insured association, including those with savings and investment features.”
