According to 6 CFR 37.3 (Title 6 - Homeland Security; Chapter I - Department Of Homeland Security, Office Of The Secretary; Part 37 -Real Id Driver's Licenses And Identification Cards; Subpart A – General), IAFIS means “the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System, a national fingerprint and criminal history system maintained by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) that provides automated fingerprint search capabilities.”
