Intermittent Ignition Device Law and Legal Definition
According to 10 CFR 431.242 [Title 10 – Energy; Chapter II -- Department of Energy; Subchapter D -- Energy Conservation; Part 431 -- Energy Efficiency Program for Certain Commercial and Industrial Equipment; Subpart N -- Unit Heaters ], the term intermittent ignition device means “an ignition device in which the ignition source is automatically shut off when the appliance is in an off or standby condition.”
