Inventory Supervisor Law and Legal Definition
An inventory supervisor is a professional who is appointed under inventory management for overseeing and managing inventory accounts calculation. They direct the shipping, receiving and inventory for an organization. They work on a designated work shift. In large organizations there will be 24-hour inventory operation, and the inventory supervisors will work on several shifts to calculate and maintain inventory.
Inventory supervisor will allocate a team to a particular department with worksheet to take inventory. After calculation inventory supervisor will take each team to their concerned department to ensure that everything is accounted. Inventory supervisor will spot-check a team conducting inventory calculation in each department. In case where any inaccuracy is seen inventory supervisor will require a team with whom inaccuracy is seen to recount their department.
