Investment Grade Law and Legal Definition
According to 12 CFR 1.2 [Title 12 Banks and Banking; Chapter I Comptroller Of the Currency, Department of the Treasury; Part 1 Investment Securities]Investment grade means “a security that is rated in one of the four highest rating categories by:
(1) Two or more NRSROs; or
(2) One NRSRO if the security has been rated by only one NRSRO.”
NRSRO means a nationally recognized statistical rating organization.
