Irretrievable Well Logging Source Law and Legal Definition
According to 10 CFR 39.2 [Title 10 – Energy; Chapter I -- Nuclear Regulatory Commission; Part 39 -- Licenses and Radiation Safety Requirements for Well Logging; Subpart A -- General Provisions] the term irretrievable well logging source means “any sealed source containing licensed material that is pulled off or not connected to the wireline that suspends the source in the well and for which all reasonable effort at recovery has been expended.”
