Irrigation Company Law and Legal Definition
Irrigation Company is a private company organized for the purpose of constructing and operating irrigation works as an independent business enterprise. Such a company will be formed as a mutual company of individual landowners in association for the purpose of obtaining water and using it for the irrigation of their own lands. An irrigation company will be organized for the purpose of the purchase and development of tracts of arid land and the construction of irrigation works in connection with the enterprise, with the view of the subsequent sale of smaller tracts with appurtenant irrigation rights.
