Irritant Law and Legal Definition
According to 15 USCS § 1261 (j), [Title 15. Commerce and Trade; Chapter 30. Hazardous Substances] the term irritant means “any substance not corrosive within the meaning of subparagraph (i) which on immediate, prolonged, or repeated contact with normal living tissue will induce a local inflammatory reaction.”
