Joint Sentence Law and Legal Definition
Joint sentence is a sentence of two or more defendants under a joint indictment, which imposes the punishment jointly against them. It is an irregularity when two or more defendants, although jointly charged, is sentenced separately upon both or all having been found guilty. [Ex parte Gafford, 25 Nev. 101 (Nev. 1899)].
