Jury instruction means a set of legal rules, direction, or guideline that a judge renders to a jury with respect to the law of a case. The jurors should follow such instructions when the jury is deciding a civil or criminal case. Jury instructions are usually read aloud by the judge to the jury. They are much the subject of discussion by attorneys on both sides in the case.
