Juvenile Delinquency Law and Legal Definition
Under 18 USCS § 5031 or the Federal Juvenile Delinquency Act, 'juvenile delinquency' is the violation of a law of the United States, committed by a person prior to his eighteenth birthday which would have been a crime if committed by an adult. Juvenile delinquency is generally thought of as misbehavior by children.
