Knock-Off Law and Legal Definition
Knock-off is the unauthorized copy or imitation of a product that is marketed or sold under a spurious mark. A knock-off will be identical with, or substantially indistinguishable from, a registered mark. It is also called a counterfeit. Knock-off trademarks are prohibited in the U.S. under 15 USCS § 1114. For example, knock-off designer products made in China is sold as authentic brand product which is prohibited in the U.S.
