National Association of Theatre Owners Law and Legal Definition
The National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) is an organization of movie theater owners. It is based in the U.S. NATO was founded in 1965 by the merger of the two organizations, the Theater Owners of America and the Allied S National Association of Theatre tates Association of Motion Picture Exhibitors. It is situated in New York city. Major theater chains and many independent theater operators are members in the NATO. Together they account for the operation of thousands of motion picture screens in all the U.S. states and various other countries. It voices the concerns of movie theater owners and exhibitors.
