National Center on Institutions and Alternatives Law and Legal Definition
National Center on Institutions and Alternatives (NCIA) is a nonprofit, progressive, and effective criminal justice and human services agency founded in 1977. Since 1977, the NCIA has worked to break the destructive cycle often associated with the human service and correctional systems. NCIA provide individual care, concern, and treatment for emotionally disturbed youth, developmentally disabled adults and adolescents, and those involved in the criminal justice system.
