National Crime Prevention Council [NCPC] Law and Legal Definition
The National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) is an independent non-profit organization that helps the U.S. leaders to assist people to keep themselves, their family, and community safe from crime. The NCPC produces tools for communities to learn crime prevention strategies.
The NCPC’s functions include:
a. to engage community members for crime prevention;
b. to coordinate with local agencies;
c. provide publications and teaching materials on a variety of topics;
d. conduct programs that can be implemented in communities and schools;
e. initiate local, regional, and national trainings; and
f. provide support for a national coalition of crime prevention practitioners.
