National Criminal History Background Check System Law and Legal Definition
National criminal history background check system means the criminal history record system maintained by the Federal Bureau of Investigation based on fingerprint identification or any other method of positive identification [42 USCS § 5119c (8)]. The national criminal history background check system is used by the authorized agencies for assessing and reviewing state and federal criminal history records.
