National Futures Association Law and Legal Definition
National Futures Association (NFA) is an industry wide, self-regulatory organization for the U.S. futures industry. It is established by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission in 1981. NFA consists of commodity pool operators, commodity trading advisers, and futures commission merchants and their employees and agents. NFA develops rules, programs and services to safeguard market integrity, protect investors, and help members meet their regulatory responsibilities.
